Hello everyone

Things are now creeping back to a new type of normality.  We still do not have a long list of events to tell you about, but we can alert you to new activities that are going on in our community.

Firstly, Made by Minch is up and running!!  If you want to buy from a local artist or craftsperson, here’s your chance.  Do you need an individual present for someone, or would like a souvenir of your visit to our beautiful parish, take a peek here – if you know someone who might like to list here, please ask them to get in touch via the button on the page.

Please support your local artisans if you’re able!

Community News:

Minch Covid Response Group
It has been agreed to close the service on Saturday, 1st August.   The group is writing to everyone they’ve helped to tell them this, as well as to all volunteers.   A few people are still being helped (2 or 3 prescriptions daily) and they will be signposted onto other services that can help them.   The group will start up again if there’s a second spike.

The response group took their first call on 18th March and has received nearly 450 calls/emails since then – with nearly 150 volunteers helping at various times.

Minchinhampton Market
Minchinhampton Market will be starting again on Wednesday, 5th August from 8.30 – 11.30 am in the Undercroft, Market House, Minchinhampton.   Please note the change of day – it always used to be Thursday!   Come and buy home baked goods, preserves, crafts, greeting cards, plants, honey, fruit & vegetables.

Minchinhampton Community Library
Plans are moving fast on reopening the library.  We will have more information as soon as it is available, and will post on our website in the news section.

Reopening next Wednesday, 29 July at 6.00 pm.  Only Members will be allowed in and will have to take a forehead temperature check when entering.  They will need to show their Membership Cards in order for us to comply with Governmental Track & Trace rules.  A One-Way System around the Club will be in operation, sanitation products will be in every room and we entrust the Members to follow current Social Distancing Guidelines at all times.  Members will of course enter at their own risk and will be asked to leave if they fail the temperature check or cannot prove their membership.  Guests will be allowed in at a later date when the Government relaxes its restrictions.
