Demolition of the old surgery will commence on Monday, 20th July 2026. The project is scheduled to last no longer than 6 weeks and is deliberately timed to coincide with the school holidays.
The company which will be carrying out the work on behalf of the Parish Council is Bath Demolition Ltd. Their on-site contact is Gavin Pitt, whose mobile number for any urgent matters relating to the demolition is 07384 468807.
Necessary safety work will include the temporary closure of the footpath on the side of School Road adjoining the site, which means that the road will become joint use for the duration of the work. The community library will remain open and accessible throughout and car parking should be undisturbed.
Site access will be required throughout the work through the existing gate, which necessarily must be therefore be left clear at all times.
