If you were one of the 160 who joined us on our Horsfall House Charity Walk for Free Respite Care last Sunday, you would have enjoyed a glorious spring day. You would have appreciated fresh leaves on ancient beech trees and smelt wild garlic at its best in Gatcombe Wood. You would have been wowed by the beauty of Avening Court’s immaculate gardens as you made your way along the raked gravel drive. The non vegetarians would have been delighted at the aroma of hot bacon baps coming from the refreshment stop at Avening Social Club. But most importantly, you would have experienced an enormous sense of satisfaction as you completed your walk and raised vital funds for such an important local charity.
Of course, if you weren’t with us last Sunday there is always next year around the same time in May.
