A few weeks ago very early one morning an anonymous resident made a gift of 1,000 origami crane birds to the Market House. The paper birds were set out in the undercroft for the enjoyment of all. This is a Japanese tradition ‘Senbazuru’ which grants the recipient(s) a gift from the gods. As you can see from the pictured notice, the donor is so happy to be living in our community and wished to express his/ her feelings in this touching way.
