Minchinhampton and Amberley have had Rainbow, Brownie and Girl Guide units for many years. Over Covid, a Ranger unit was started for members aged 14-18. Whilst many Rangers have previously been a member of one or all sections, there is no requirement to have been in Girlguiding before.
We have now been welcomed by Minchinhampton Baptist Church and are using the upstairs Cafe Room due to the sale of our previous venue. Meeting are fortnightly on Thursdays 6.30-8pm.
Recently we have taken part in activities on the common in the dark, made some fantastic designs with Lino printing, had a visitor trained in talking to young people about breast cancer and explored gender stereotyping.
As we launch into Summer, we are planning Climbing, Paddleboarding and outdoor cooking plus much more.
We are completely understanding of school and exam pressures but offer a relaxed and friendly space to have fun. We have Rangers who attend lots of different schools but all enjoy doing something different.
