The Pub Restoration Group (CMRG) are preparing to put a Community bid together in order to buy the Crown. This will only be necessary if Ei Pub Group don’t receive or accept a satisfactory offer from any other party before 19th June, 2018.
Ei Group’s Agent, Fleurets, tell me they have two or three businesses/individuals who are preparing bids. These are expected to be submitted by the end of February. In the meantime CMRG are taking steps to set up a Company, limited by guarantee, which would be the vehicle through which the Community bid would be made. This Company will require directors with relevant experience and knowledge in finance, legal matters and the hospitality industry.
Please would anyone who has such experience, is willing to serve on the board, and/or is able to contribute financially (it is envisaged that shares will be sold at £1,000 each) please contact either Karen Colebourn – karencolebourn@gmail.com, or myself – nigelparry25@gmail.com by, at the latest, 28th February, 2018.
