Here is a list showing what’s on this coming month.  As usual please look at the website https://minchinhampton.life for all the weekly events, community coffee mornings, community choir practices, walks, sports’ activities, bell ringing, etc.

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) Committee is collecting donations from patients for a retirement gift for Dr David Pouncey.   To contribute, please first email minchppg@gmail.com or in person at Surgery reception – don’t phone.   All are invited to the presentation at a buffet reception, Horsfall House on Friday, 7 June at 6.00 p.m.   If attending, please RSVP if possible to minchppg@gmail.com

The Stroud Textile Trust’s season of opening mills begins on the weekend 27 April and continues to 25 September.  The mills are open for free visits on the National Open Mills’ Weekend, 11/12 May, when St. Mary’s will host an artists’ installation and a display of 3d microscopic images of wool, cloth and local flora and other items. This free event will be open the following weekend as well.  More details https://stroud-textile.org.uk

April 13 @ 9.30 am – 4.30pm Barnabas Painters Exhibition, Mortimer Rooms, Nailsworth.

April 14 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Cotteswold Naturalists’ Excursion to Broadway.
The Cotteswold Naturalists are holding their first excursion to Broadway on Sunday, 14th April. This is now open to non members.  There will be a coach pick up in Dr Brown’s Road, Minchinhampton at 8 am.

April 14 @ 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm, Cuisine La Page Sunday lunch, 12 Well Hill, Minchinhampton.   £20.  Booking essential.

April 15 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm  Minchinhampton Gardening Club – The Walled Garden.  Minchinhampton School.

April 16 @ 2:15 pm – 4:00 pm  Cotteswold Naturalists Field Club,  The Hub, Tobacconist Road, Minchinhampton  – Natives and Aliens.  Speaker Rachel Hemming (Unfortunately the talk on Tin Tabernacles by Phil Wilmott has had to be postponed.)

April 18 @ 7.00 for 7:15 pm  Box Games Night, Box Village Hall.  Introductory Session Free.  Bring along your favourite game.

April 19 @ 10.30 am.  Good Friday Messy Church, Holy Trinity Church, Bell Lane, Minchinhampton.

April 21 @ 6:00 – 7:00 am, Easter Day Dawn Service, Tom Long’s Post, The Common, Minchinhampton.
