DESCRIPTION:Minchinhampton Probus meets fortnightly on the second and fourth Thursday in the Porch Room\, Holy Trinity\, Minchinhampton.  Starts at 10am – with coffee and a catch up with other members.  The meeting comprises a brief business meeting for about 15 minutes then usually a guest speaker. Meeting finishes at noon. \nWe are a very friendly bunch of men from all sorts of backgrounds. The only qualification to join that that you are retired.  The subject of each meeting is as varied as we are! \nWe regularly have visits to local industry and other  social gatherings. \nPotential new members are very welcome to attend.  It would be helpful to know if you are coming!  No jacket required. \nPresident – John Flynn. DESCRIPTION:Burford & Lunch at The Fox Inn\, Barrington \nCoach £22 Lunch (2 or 3 course) £30/38 (Total £52/60) per person \nWe’ve visited the Fox Inn in the village of Barrington several times — for coffee and cake\,and for lunch. [*Unbidden image of weighing scales*]… [But who cares!] It’s a cracker\, and we always find it hospitable\, delicious\, and reasonably priced.  Situated on the banks of the Windrush\, there are lovely strolls to be had in this pretty North Cotswold village.  Even more temptingly\, the food is absolutely excellent (and included; drinks extra).  We’ll send a menu in due course (with choices); we can sort out food allergies. \nYou’ll definitely all know Burford\, where we’ll also have time to have a shop and wander in the picturesque\, famous High Street rising up from the medieval bridge and historic church.  Individual shops\, gallery\, museum and England’s oldest pharmacy (open since 1734\, though not on a Sunday) are on the menu.
