DESCRIPTION:This walk will start at Bell Lane car park at 10.30 am. \nWe will  walk down through Hyde to St Mary’s Mill near Chalford. We’ll then walk to the Ship at Brimscombe along the canal towpath\, to admire the late summer wetland plants and dragonflies. We’ll leave a car at the pub for those who don’t fancy the climb back up to Minch. We’ll also try to book a table for lunch – either at the Ship or\, if they are full\, the Crown. Let me know if you’d like to join us. Dogs are welcome. Don’t think there are any difficult stiles\, but the steps down to the mill and the towpath need careful negotiation. \n  \n  \nWe are an informal group of friends who enjoy walking\, wildlife\, good company and the occasional trip the pub. You are very welcome to join us – but entirely at your own risk!! \nAll walks use public footpaths which may be steep\, rough and slippery. Prepare accordingly.  We generally start at 10.30 and finish by lunchtime. \n  \nIf the weather is very poor\, we will cancel by email by 9.00am on the relevant morning.

DESCRIPTION:A song and story session for children aged 5 and under and their grown-ups.  David Powell will read stories & rhymes and sing songs accompanied by his melodeon & guitar.   David will run two half-hour sessions\, the first starting at 10.30 and the second at 11.15.  \nFree Event. \nAll children to be accompanied by an adult. \n(Children participating in The Library Challenge will obtain a stamp and sticker for coming along).
