All in aid of Horsfall House.\n\nOur Winter Open Gardens event in Hyde is back again for 2023 on two consecutive Sundays in the hope of catching at least one day of winter sunshine!  But even the greyest February day is brightened by a drift of winter flowers and especially the snowdrops that are everywhere in the beautiful and historic Hyde gardens.\n\nThe participating gardens are Hyde End\, Hyde House Cottage and Ivy Cottage.\n\nEntry is by voluntary donation so please give generously if you can and every pound raised will help us to care for the elderly in our community and support their families.\n\nAll the event details are at https://horsfallhouse.co.uk/fundraising\nNote: Parking is limited in Hyde so please carshare if you can or walk via Knapp Lane. DESCRIPTION:Rotary Nailsworth is hosting The Antiques Hunt at Box Village Hall on Thursday 2nd March. Well-known local auctioneer\, Philip Taubenheim\, will be giving his opinions and thoughts on your objects. This should be a great evening and very interesting. \nPhilip is Managing Director\, senior auctioneer\, valuer and cataloguer at Wotton Auction Rooms. He has spent all his working life in the world of Antiques and Auctions and\, when not dealing with the day-to-day dealing of the business\, he is a contributor to the BBC Antiques Roadshow. \nPhilip will give a talk generally about the life of an auctioneer\, following which he’ll talk about the attendees’ treasures. Attendees are invited to bring items of interest rather than just of value\, for him to talk about. \nThe Village Hall will be open from 6:15pm on 2nd March\, and attendees who have items they would like Philip to talk about are invited to bring them before 7:00pm which is when Philip will start his talk. A welcome drink will be given to all guests on arrival\, and there will also be a raffle. Philip hopes to have sufficient time to talk about most if not all of the diplayed items. The talk will conclude at about 9:00pm after the draw of the raffle. \nThe ticket cost for this event is £10\, payable in advance\, and this includes a drink on arrival.
