DESCRIPTION:The World Wildlife Fund have been organising a global Earth Hour since 2007.  They ask for all non-essential electric lights to be turned off for one hour from 8.30 pm – 9.30pm as a way to cut emissions. The Eiffel Tower\, Sydney Opera House\, the Giza Pyramids and the UN building in New York go dark for one hour. \nThis year the WWF suggest that as well as turning off the lights\, we could spend another 60 minutes doing something positive for the planet and ourselves.  The WWF want to make 2026 the biggest Earth Hour yet with millions of Earth friendly hours committed around the world.

DESCRIPTION:We are an informal group of friends who enjoy walking\, wildlife\, good company and the occasional trip to the pub. You are very welcome to join us – but entirely at your own risk!! \n\nOur next walk will be oon 29th March when we said we’d go to see the wild daffodils near Newent. That happens to be the Daffodil Day at Oxenhall\, where there will be refreshments and a free ‘Daffodil Shuffle’ – a bus that takes you to the best daffodil locations. Let’s meet either to share lifts at 9.30 in the Bell Lane carpark\, or at 10.45 at Oxenhall Village Hall – where ther will be allocated parking.
