DESCRIPTION:The Hanks and the Hemmings have kindly stepped in and will be leading the walk in Slad on 30 June. Car-sharers to meet at Bell lane car park at 10.30. Those who prefer to drive straight there – please meet at the top of Steanbridge Lane at 11am. There is a small parking area at the top of Steanbridge Lane and also parking on the main road near the Woolpack Inn. The walk will take in part of the Laurie Lee Way\, including Swifts Hill\, which is an orchid-rich nature reserve with great views across the Vale. There are stiles and short climbs – but hopefully not much mud – which will make a nice change.\nSteve is looking into the possibility of lunch at the Woolpack (very nice!) – so let him know if you’d like to join the table if available. DESCRIPTION:A summer evening walk\, with stunning views and a beautiful walk across Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons. It will take place on Friday 21st June. Choose from our 5k or 10k route to suit you. All walkers will set off from Longfield’s base in Minchinhampton between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. \nBring along friends and family to enjoy live music\, home cooked food\, bar and garden games too. This is a great family event for adults\, children and pets too – dogs welcome! Even if you are not walking you can come and have fun too. \nSimply choose whether you want to enjoy the walk\, just join us for food\, or both! Food includes burger (meat or vegetarian)\, Pimms and a pud. For children a burger\, pud and soft drink will be provided. \nThe registration fee entitles you to take part in the event and helps to cover the cost of the walk.
