DESCRIPTION:During the wild food foraging\, which last around three hours\, we will be identifying\, picking\, and eating a number of delicious plants. There will be discussion around seasonal eating\, the nutritional values and medicinal use of plants. We will also look at the conservation of species and their habitats\, what to take and what to leave. DESCRIPTION:The Stuart Singers with the Wyndham Singers\, a Devon male-voice choir\, sing a varied programme of popular songs and classics\,  marking the Stuart Singers’ 30thAnniversary year and raising money for local charities.  Tickets £12  from \nhttps://stuartsingers.com/Tickets.html or if you want to buy them in person\, they are available from any choir member and also from Nailsworth Town Information Centre (in the same building as the Library). Under 16s free. \nTheir guests on this occasion will be the Wyndham Singers\, a choir of about twenty men from the Devon village of Kentisbeare\, who some would say are one of Devon’s finest exports! This will be the fourth concert the two choirs have sung together\, alternating between Gloucestershire and Devon. All the singers are eagerly anticipating their reunion after an enforced two-year delay due to Covid. \nThere will be a varied programme of arrangements of popular songs by composers such as Billy Joel\, Joni Mitchell\, Elton John and Richard Carpenter\, as well as the ever-popular Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré and Panis Angelicus by Franck. \nWith the excellent acoustic of St George’s\, it should be a very pleasant and entertaining evening. The concert will begin a period of special celebration for the Stuart Singers as 2022 is their 30th anniversary year. As well as thirty years of making music\, they have also raised over £250\,000 for local charities and good causes. With local support\, they look forward to continuing to do this for many more years to come.

SUMMARY:Minch Film Night is back -West Side Story
DESCRIPTION:Doors Open 6.30 pm \nThe new Stephen Spielberg film “West Side Story” is coming to Minchinhampton! \nAs Covid is still lurking countrywide\, the seating will be restricted to 70\, to provide some social distancing. Face covering is advised\, at least while moving around in the Market House – while buying a drink for example. There will be no second feature film\, so we will organise an intermission appoximately half way through the presentation. The film is 156 minutes long\, which means finish time will be around 10.15pm. \nTickets £6.00 from Market Stores.

DESCRIPTION:This walk will be led by Michael and Mary McEllin. Meet at Bell Lane car park at 10.15 to car share or at 10.30 at the first car park west of the Hythe on Rodborough Common. \n  \nWe are an informal group of friends who enjoy walking\, wildlife\, good company and the occasional trip the pub. You are very welcome to join us – but entirely at your own risk!! \nAll walks use public footpaths which may be steep\, rough and slippery. Prepare accordingly.  \nWe generally start at 10.30\, unless otherwise specified in the programme. \nIf the weather is very poor\, we will cancel by email by 9.00am on the relevant morning.  \nPlease contact karencolebourn@gmail.com to be added to the circulation list.
