SUMMARY:SANCTUM | Balo + Dominie Hooper
DESCRIPTION:Balo are Sheffield based harpist Manon McCoy and drummer Will Shaw. The duo create expansive works for harp\, drums and live electronics. Their sound is a dynamic balance of driving rhythmic phrasing\, ambient textures\, intricate prepared techniques and experimental electronic layers. \nDominie Hooper is a singer\, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist crafting spellbinding music rooted in folklore\, ritual\, and emotional transformation. Her songs simmer with raw intensity and lyrical barbs\, blending growling cello\, textured guitar\, and collective vocals into something dark\, unsettling\, and beautiful. As Under the Radar Magazine put it\, “The breadth of her talent is immediately apparent.” \nOur pay as you can dinner will be served from 6-8pm\, with a menu full of flavour\, generosity\, and community spirit. \nSanctum will start at 8pm in the Sanctuary \nTickets:  https://thelongtablestroud.com/sanctum-balo-dominie-hooper

SUMMARY:Minchinhampton Movie Night: Bridget Jones - Mad about the Boy
DESCRIPTION:Doors Open at 7.00pm \nThis is probably the last in the Bridget Jones series\, the stories for which started life as a column in the Independent newspaper\, written by Helen Fielding and followed by a published book in 1996. This film is rather different from the previous three. Bridget  married  Mr Darcy but was widowed 4 years ago so rather than struggling with beauty standards and societal pressures\, she decides to accept her husband’s death and start her life again. The film is both moving and funny and was critically acclaimed on release. \n  \nTickets from Market Stores £7 (cash only please)
