SUMMARY:Memorials to the Missing - a play not to be missed at Holy Trinity Minchinhampton
DESCRIPTION:Performance of a play originally broadcast on Radio 4 in 2007.  It dramatises the struggles of Major General Sir Fabian Ware – who is buried in Amberley – to set up what we now know as the Commonwealth War Graves Commission\, the first organisation in the world dedicated to honouring all those killed or missing in action\, irrespective of race\, rank or creed. \nAll proceeds from ticket sales will be sent to “Help for Heroes”.  Tickets (£12.00 each) will be available from the Post Office. \n4 years ago John Mounsey and seven friends put this play on at Holy Trinity.   To their delight this was very well received with many calls for it to be repeated.   It is a remarkable and moving play about a very remarkable man.  Don’t miss it!

DESCRIPTION:Neil Baker has agreed to lead a walk around the Heavens on 28 November (note Saturday\, not Sunday).  He is an enthusiastic guide to the archaeology of this lovely valley which has recently been bought by a community trust. He has asked that we make a donation to the Community Trust – Stroud Valleys Project charge £10 per person for his walks. \nWe are an informal group of friends who enjoy walking\, wildlife\, good company and the occasional trip the pub. You are very welcome to join us – but entirely at your own risk!! \nAll walks use public footpaths which may be steep\, rough and slippery. Prepare accordingly.  \nWe generally walk on the last Sunday of each month\, starting at 10.30 and finishing by lunchtime\, unless otherwise specified in the programme. \nIf the weather is very poor\, we will cancel by email by 9.00am on the morning the walk was planned.  \nPlease contact karencolebourn@gmail.com to be added to the circulation list.
