SUMMARY:Memorials to the Missing - a play not to be missed at Holy Trinity Minchinhampton
DESCRIPTION:Performance of a play originally broadcast on Radio 4 in 2007.  It dramatises the struggles of Major General Sir Fabian Ware – who is buried in Amberley – to set up what we now know as the Commonwealth War Graves Commission\, the first organisation in the world dedicated to honouring all those killed or missing in action\, irrespective of race\, rank or creed. \nAll proceeds from ticket sales will be sent to “Help for Heroes”.  Tickets (£12.00 each) will be available from the Post Office. \n4 years ago John Mounsey and seven friends put this play on at Holy Trinity.   To their delight this was very well received with many calls for it to be repeated.   It is a remarkable and moving play about a very remarkable man.  Don’t miss it!

DESCRIPTION:Back in 2023\,  while organising our Annual Festival\, we decided to arrange a special event for our poets and wordsmiths.  It was so much of a success that we still meet regularly on the 2nd Monday of every month at lunchtime in the comfortable surroundings of the Minchinhampton Cotswold Club.  The sessions run from 12.30 –  2.00pm.  Anything goes.  Poems\, stories\, we’ve even had comedy\, but sometimes we just have a good old natter with a coffee. DESCRIPTION:Speaker:  Paul Barnett \nMinchinhampton Probus meets fortnightly on the second and fourth Thursday in the Porch Room\, Holy Trinity\, Minchinhampton.  Starts at 10am – with coffee and a catch up with other members.  The meeting comprises a brief business meeting for about 15 minutes then usually a guest speaker. Meeting finishes at noon. \nWe are a very friendly bunch of men from all sorts of backgrounds.
