DESCRIPTION:The Bereavement Journey Course: A place to talk.Presented jointly by Holy Trinity Church\, Minchinhampton\, and Minchinhampton Baptist Church(MBC)  The next Course will run on Thursday evenings from Thursday 4th June – 16th July 2026 7.00 pm to 9.00pm.  Working with grief and the loss of a loved one takes a long time. The Bereavement Journey® is a 7-session programme which assists bereaved people\, or those who have experienced similar\, to process their loss. Each session begins with light refreshments and the opportunity to get to know other participants. Two informative videos are then used interspersed with discussion in small groups facilitated by trained volunteers. Previous participants have commented:“Thanks for the care and thoughtfulness taken throughout each session.”“The Course was an exceptional experience and am very grateful to have been on it.”“Not only was it helpful and informative but nice to make new friends going through grief.”The course will be held in The Porch Room\, Holy Trinity\, Minchinhampton. Registration costs £25 which is a contribution to the cost of the course handbook and refreshments over the seven evenings. DESCRIPTION:FFFINOS is the project of Manchester-based musician and producer Sam Frost who creates experimental pop music; drifting through low tempos with 2000s romplers\, tunnelled-out samples and dissociative textures. Currently playing out last year’s album Air Drop as a live trio featuring Katie Pham and Robin W. \nJOW is the cello-and-trumpet duo of James Gow and Pete Judge\, stalwarts across the Bristol music scene. Combining elements of jazz\, folk\, and classical chamber music\, they are an experiment in the possibilities of minimal instrumentation\, but are equally celebrated for their collaborations with the likes of Adrian Utley\, Rachael Dadd\, and coffee roasters Fire & Flow. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker\, a relaxed weekend wanderer\, or joining us with your canine companions\, we invite you to take part in this much-loved fundraiser in support of our residents\, day centre and home care clients and their families. \nThis year’s 10-mile circular route sets off once again from Minchinhampton Library\,guiding walkers through some of the most picturesque countryside our communityhas to offer. The route concludes at Horsfall House\, where every participant will beawarded a certificate to mark their achievement.We are especially grateful to offer\, once again\, rare and specially granted access to Gatcombe Park Woods and Avening Court\, opened exclusively for participants of the community walk. For those wishing to shorten their route\, an optional return on foot will be available after Avening Court. In addition\, our Day Centre bus will run from Avening Social Club\, and thanks to the support of Playschool for Dogs\, dog-friendly transport will also be available\, shuttling walkers and their pets back to HorsfallHouse via the Bell Lane car park. Refreshments will be available at Avening Social Club and at Horsfall House at the end of the route. \nFree Parking will be available at Bell Lane overflow car park \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Minchinhampton Probus meets fortnightly on the second and fourth Thursday in the Porch Room\, Holy Trinity\, Minchinhampton.  Starts at 10am – with coffee and a catch up with other members.  The meeting comprises a brief business meeting for about 15 minutes then usually a guest speaker. Meeting finishes at noon. \nWe are a very friendly bunch of men from all sorts of backgrounds. The only qualification to join that that you are retired.  The subject of each meeting is as varied as we are! \nWe regularly have visits to local industry and other  social gatherings. \nPotential new members are very welcome to attend.  It would be helpful to know if you are coming!  No jacket required. \nPresident – Richard Smith.
