DESCRIPTION:Nailsworth Rotary are proud to present the award winning Bournemouth Male Voice Choir.  They will be singing at Old Lodge on Minchinhampton Common.   They will be singing in the garden from 7pm or just before if the weather is good.   If the weather is not so good they will sing in the main restaurant for about thirty minutes.   It will be an uplifting session reflecting their love of beer and the wonderful surroundings.   There will be a bucket collection which will raise funds. \nThe Rotary club have raised a lot of money for Minchinhampton – in particular buying tents for the Cubs and Scouts. \n  \nNB.  The Choir will be singing with the Stuart Singers on Saturday 18th May from 7pm – 9.30pm at the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist\, Cirencester

DESCRIPTION:A group of singers drawn from from Mtiebi and Amer-Imeri\, renowned vocal ensembles from the Republic of Georgia\, are touring the UK during May 2024\, teaching and performing polyphonic songs\, and appearing as guests of honour at a weekend residential event. \nTs’utisopeli (წუტისოფელი) is a word that has many related meanings in Georgian – sometimes translated as ‘small world’\, ‘small village’\, or even ‘brief life’. The centrepiece of the tour\, this will be a full weekend of workshops\, feasting and performance\, bringing together our visiting Georgian ensembles\, as well as singers from across the UK. \nWorkshops will be held in the historic Market House\, and the beautiful\, and highly resonant Holy Trinity Church.
