DESCRIPTION:Join us for a spooky evening of jack-o-lanterns and storytelling at Oak & Ash & Thorn\, held in Voltaire’s Wood from 5pm to 11pm on Saturday 26 October\, with the opportunity of camping overnight as you listen to every creak and the snap of the wood…\n\nStarting at dusk\, Samhain on 31 October marks the New Year in the ancient Celtic calendar and Halloween in the modern one. It’s a time when it’s thought the veil between our world and that of the Fae is at its thinnest and all sorts of shenanigans and revels occur. Prepare for the festivities early by coming to the wood to carve your own jack-o-lantern\, marvel as our professional chainsaw artist carves their pumpkin\, shudder as our storyteller tells you tales of Stingy Jack and his turnip lantern (the original Jack of the Lantern) all the while warming yourself round our roaring bonfire (or bone-fire\, as once it was known…).
