SUMMARY:Box of Delights RSC Stratford upon Avon with Ian Jarvis
DESCRIPTION:Coach £27\, RSC £42 – Total £69 per person\nIt’s always tricky to find a Christmas production that would delight anyone of any age (Oh yes it blinking well is). But we thought this\, at the RSC\, might appeal to a wide range. It’s for ages 7+\, if you wanted to bring children/grandchildren; but it’s also a perennial story – based on the John Masefield novel\, of course – that many of you might have enjoyed in your own youth.\nWe’ve secured some cracking\, premium seats in the centre stalls at a very good group rate for a 1.15pm performance.\nThe blurb from the RSC reads:\nAfter a seemingly chance encounter on a train\, orphaned schoolboy Kay Harker finds himself the guardian of a small wooden box with powers beyond his wildest dreams. Caught up in a battle between two powerful magicians\, Kay fights to save not just the people he loves but also the future of Christmas itself.\nThis fantastically festive production is directed by Justin Audibert (The Taming of the Shrew 2019\, The Jew of Malta 2015) and designed by RSC Associate Designer Tom Piper. It’s based on the original stage production first produced by Wilton’s Music Hall and Hero Productions at Wilton’s Music Hall. https://www.rsc.org.uk/the-box-of-delights/\n0900h Nailsworth/Box/Minch pickups 1100h Stratford u Avon\n1315h RSC Box of Delights\n1615h Leave for home \nContact bus@abbeyhall.info or telephone Ian (& Katie) Jarvis Tel: 01453 833131\, 07403 899599 or 07802 357478
